Week two saw the Golden Lions host the first ever professional match for our local communities west of the causeway.

Over 1,400 fans came out to Aggie Stadium to watch FC Davis take on the East Bay Stompers.

An up and down game saw chances go stray for each team.

A short time later, Stompers midfielder Zanin Mahic broke through the FC Davis defense and was taken down in the box. Mahic then stepped up and slotted home the PK to lock the score at 1-1.

Despite chances for both teams, neither FC Davis or East Bay were able to find the back of the net and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
