After a stand out 2020 campaign, Davis Senior High star Lily Byrne is your FC Davis 2020 High School Girls All-Area Player of the Year.
Capping an illustrious high school career with another Delta League title after posting an 10-1-1 league record, the to be Colorado College recruit was a wizard on the field for the Blue Devils. With an ability to play multiple positions, the senior punished Delta League opponents and helped secure Davis a No.1 overall seed in the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs.

Q: How do you feel the season went for Davis?
A: For a young team that a lot of people weren't expecting much of, we were able to win the Delta League and put together some awesome come from behind victories. Not to mention the team chemistry was awesome.
Q: What was your most memorable moment from the 2019/2020 season?
A: Dog-pile celebration after scoring against Franklin away.
Q: What are you going to miss most about high school soccer?
A: My teammates.
Q: What is one thing you would change about high school soccer?
A: Playing on a grass field instead of artificial turf and moving the season to spring or fall.
Q: Favorite clothing brand?
A: Patagonia.
Q: Who is your favorite teacher?
A: Mr. Reilly and Mr. G.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Mashed potatoes.
Q: Who is your favorite musical artist?
A: Louis the Child.
Q: One place you want to visit?
A: Nepal.

A: Nike.
Q: What do you plan to study in college?
A: Biology, Journalism or Environmental Science.
Q: What are your plans for next year?
A: Continuing my education and soccer career at Colorado College.
