The Women’s Premier Soccer League announced a format change for 2020 league competition in response to COVID-19 spread.
With uncertainty surrounding the months of April and May, league officials moved back the 2020 season start date and regionalized WPSL play in order to avoid potential complications of a national format.
The adopted changes are:
New Start Date: The 2020 season has a tentative start date of Saturday, May 30th.
Altered Playoff Format: All clubs will play their conference games and hold a conference championship for the 2020 season. No National Playoffs will take place.
